update kernel is not right!

ive been having problms with the new update kernel....the sound didnt work...ive tryed everything believe me...manual install 2...never worked...so..a tryed using the beyond kernel..using the latest alsa-libs...the sound worked...the problm must be on that alsa patch on the new kernel...or something with the configs....anyone?

am certain the problm comes from the latest kernel..dunno why it doenst load the sound card...no error are found...it simple doesnt come out sound..not a single error...i cannot seem to find the kernel.2.6.26-6....that one was working perfectly...can anyone help?

i guess if from the latest patch to update the kernel from 2.6.20-6 to 2.6.20-7....why this didnt go to testing first??

more information please, what card are you using, did you rerun alsaconf?
is your /etc/modprobe.conf clean?
on alsa upgrades such stuff might happen but this is a known issue a long time that on bumps the cards need to reconfigure.

ive done everything that you sayd here...still no sound...im usind snd-hda-intel..alsaconf detects...alsamixer is ok all volumes are on...and nothing happens...

well ive tryed comping the kernel with the configs that the vodoo kernel brougth...i would apreciet if any devolper explain if they only change the configs..maybe thats the cause of me having no sound tongue or maybe is from the patch...ive compiled the kernel with the kernel patch 2.6.20-6....and stilll no sound...it can only be from the configs...dam i should have stick with the last kernel....


is any repo that can be found the kenel 2.6.20-6 and the kernel26ck 2.6.20-6? or the files for compile it...

so ive tryed another thing compiled the kernel with custom configs..same patchs..no sound...again used same config from the kernel 2.6.20-6 WITH the same patchs from the latest kernel..STILL so sound...i beleive that the problm comes with one of those patches...can any one please confirme or give me a tip....


where can i get a copy of the last kernel? anybody?
