pacman 3.0.0 and pacget

Has anyone successfully used pacget with pacman 3.0?

Re: pacman 3.0.0 and pacget

It's an aria2c wrapper script that allows pacman to parallel download from multiple mirrors and speed up things considerably. Click on the pacget link on my original post to learn more.

just a note that such scripts are not officially supported by archlinux

And if it doesn't work, see if you can figure out why, and post the solution here or in the wiki.

Re: pacman 3.0.0 and pacget

I tried the pacget/aria2c script with the latest pacman 3 from testing and it works without any problems.

Re: pacman 3.0.0 and pacget

The pacman 3 on my testing system didn't seem to like aria. Removing the aria XferCommand made pacman 3 work again.
However, my system is having some hardware problems, so it was probably just that. I'll have a look at it again when I have my system fixed in a week or so.

Did you just have aria2c as the transfer command? or where you using pacget and that failed?
pacget worked fine last time I tried it with pacman3.

I just had aria2c as a transfer command. I've never used pacget.
