my bash shell doesn't show an answer to $/etc/rc.d samba start

my bash shell doesn't show an answer to $/etc/rc.d samba start, but when i copied it to the clipboard i found this one:
bash-3.2$ sudo /etc/rc.d/samba start
Password:
:: Starting Samba Server                                                 [FAIL]
bash-3.2$

in the shell there is no "Starting Samba Server" only [FAIL]

I wonder if the problem is the background color of your console. I have had a similar situation where the message is the same color as the background color of the console and therefore does not show (unless you copy and paste, of course).
So, for a test change your console background color and see if that helps.

Just a me too..
I had the same issue (text and background being same color) on a default setup...I'm sure that the issue here also.

PLEASE read and try to FIX/FILE BUGS instead of assuming other have/will.
