Hi there,
I recently reinstalled arch on my note book (new drive woohoo) and decided to give e17 a good test-drive, since I haven't tried it for quite some time.
Anyhow, I used the packages in the AUR (e-cvs) to build and install e17, and so far, I am very impressed with both arch and e17. Especially e17 has come a long way, arch just plain rocks with any window manager.
So onto my issue. ![]()
I am now using entrance to login to my system, and I am not sure if I set something up wrong, or if there is a bug w/ entrance, but it does not seem to record y login.
for example:
[rushforth@srmobile ~]$ w
12:05:27 up 1:17, 0 users, load average: 0.09, 0.17, 0.14
USER TTY LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
[rushforth@srmobile ~]$ last -10
reboot system boot 2.6.20-ARCH Fri Apr 27 10:47 (01:17)
reboot system boot 2.6.20-ARCH Fri Apr 27 09:52 (00:54)
root vc/1 Thu Apr 26 20:30 - 20:30 (00:00)
reboot system boot 2.6.20-ARCH Thu Apr 26 20:29 (13:21)
reboot system boot 2.6.20-ARCH Thu Apr 26 20:20 (00:08)
reboot system boot 2.6.20-ARCH Thu Apr 26 19:36 (00:42)
root vc/1 Thu Apr 26 19:35 - 19:35 (00:00)
reboot system boot 2.6.20-ARCH Thu Apr 26 18:04 (01:31)
root vc/2 Thu Apr 26 15:59 - down (02:03)
root vc/1 Thu Apr 26 15:56 - down (02:06)
wtmp begins Thu Apr 26 11:11:40 2007
[rushforth@srmobile ~]$
you can see in last, and in w, my user "rushforth" is neither logged in, or logged as have been logged in. Top also says "0 users"..
So I am a little bit stumped.. I have checked my /etc/pam.d/entrance, at the moment, it is identical to gdm.
anyways, thx for anyone's suggestions or tips, long live arch!
