I see that guests are allowed to post here. I think it is nice to be an open group but having to sign up to post does make you more responsible for what you say. Inputs?

guest posting should be shut off to prevent trolling which has become a wee bit more common.

One minor positive, guests who post once or twice don't use up namespace.

i dont think that not allowing guest would ever stop trooling, its not that dificult to sign up and make some troll posts. and its an easy way to someone that dont post very often, like once or twice, and still needs help. just my 0.02 €

I agree with Nifan. I don't see a problem with guests in this forum (yet?). OTOH, there have been a number of forums where I found out I would have to register first, so I did not bother to post at all.
