Guest posting

I see that guests are allowed to post here. I think it is nice to be an open group but having to sign up to post does make you more responsible for what you say. Inputs?

Re: Guest posting

guest posting should be shut off to prevent trolling which has become a wee bit more common.

Re: Guest posting

One minor positive, guests who post once or twice don't use up namespace.

Have many guests been trolling?

Re: Guest posting

i dont think that not allowing guest would ever stop trooling, its not that dificult to sign up and make some troll posts. and its an easy way to someone that dont post very often, like once or twice, and still needs help. just my 0.02 €

Re: Guest posting

that's what "ding" says about troll

Deutsch      English
trällern       to troll; to trill
trällernd        trolling; trilling
trällert        trolls; trills
trällerte       trolled; trilled
Troll {m}; Kobold {m}      troll
laufen      to troll [coll.]

choose one :-) ... well i understand, i think

what about this:

instead of "Guest" next to the posts, you have their IP? big_smile

Re: Guest posting

I agree with Nifan. I don't see a problem with guests in this forum (yet?). OTOH, there have been a number of forums where I found  out I would have to register first, so I did not bother to post at all.
