downgrade GCC?

I am trying to install vmware server.  I am actuallyl running underground desktop, but it seems like it is the same as arch.  I have gone through everything up to the point where it :

Your kernel was built with "gcc" version "4.1.1", while you are trying to use
"/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.1.2". This configuration is not recommended and
VMware Server may crash if you'll continue. Please try to use exactly same
compiler as one used for building your kernel. Do you want to go with compiler
"/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.1.2" anyway? [no]

So my question is, how do I get gcc version 4.1.1?  or can I re-build my kernel with my current gcc?

Or is there another solution?

Just build vmware-server-modules and vmware-server from AUR. It's working I have done it a few days ago.

Grab the PKGBUILDs from aur.archlinux.org and run makepkg on them.
