E17 configuration

I started to use E17 again (takhis 64 bit), and I have some questions:

1) Is there a way to configure the clock?

2) I have a background image that is designed to span both of my monitors (2560x1024). Is there a way to set Enlightenment to use one image across two monitors?

3) Is there a way to reorder items in menus and in I-Bars?

4) Eclair is really crappy with high quality h264 streams (more than Quicktime crappy!). Is there any way to adjust that? Even Xine does a better job, and I believe that Eclair is using Xine-libs.

5) How do I get the temperature monitor working? The correct sensors are running on my machine, as well lmsensors is installed.

6) Some apps, like MPlayer, when toggled to full screen fill up only one monitor. In KDE Blender behaves the same way, but in Enlightenment full screen is both monitors. Can I get the former behavior? If not, where do I set switches when starting applications (like -w for Blender)?

7) Is there a good way to blow up runaway apps using only the mouse and/or a keyboard combination?

8) Are there any terminals that offer clipboard functionality?

9) Is there a theme editor?

1) More or less. There is a second module for the clock that looks better imho. For further Configuration you have to modify the source-code or the theme

2) Dont Know

3) There should be an option to do that in the configuration menu.

4) Eclair is (just like e17) alpha software, so i guess there are some glitches

8) Dont know

9) No not yet. But there is a script that is capable of changing the colors of the default theme. If you simply want to edit an existing theme you can extract the sources with edje-decc [theme]. To rebuild it after modding simply run the included build-script.

1) I recommend using tclock instead (included in e_modules-cvs)

3) warning: they'll change to the freedesktop.org standard in a weeks time (when pacman3 is out and I have time to update the x86_64 repo), Having said that, I think your version still has a .order file? vi ~/.e/e/applications/bar/default/.order

4) Eclair is dead (no cvs updates in yonks), sorry.

5) Dunno, might be expecting some deprecated sysfs files?

8) No "native" terms, use xterm/urxvt/etc, select text with left mouse button, paste with middle mouse button.

Thanks for the responses. This is all very helpful.

Reverie, Eclair isn't important anyway seeing that MPlayer is working properly. After all, it may be ugly out of the box, but it's the world's most capable media player.
