Kernel 2.6.21 freezes completely 15sec after boot

Hey,
i have upgraded to the 2.6.21 kernel from testing.
now about 15sec after the boot is finished i completely freezes up and i have no other choise than reboot.
i run a live-cd now but i'm not really sure in which log file to look..

Did someone have similar experiences with it?

Re: Kernel 2.6.21 freezes completely 15sec after boot

hey,
i wrote the error message from the kernel panic down (at least the first line wink)

unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 000002e4

i hope that helps someone to solve this.
this problem turns up everytime i start the x-server (even if its not successful) or try to pacman -Sy

ncmpc playes without problems... strange

The following lines would be nice too. See this for example, http://kerneltrap.org/node/7277 ; just the first line isn't enough.

Use UNIX or die.
