k3b trouble

I installed k3b and when i launch k3b the splash comes up and then the system freezes  and then reboots. i checked the logs and it shows nothing.  I think it has something to do with mounting my dvdrom. becuase when i try to mount the drive manually it wont'. any ideas

Do you add the user to the optical and storage group?

try:

gpasswd -a <username> storage
gpasswd -a <username> optical

<username> = your user name
