vmware died - SOLVED

Hello to the board

After a recent upgrade vmware workstation has died on me.  When I try to start it from the command line I receive the following:

[root@MyBoX vmware-workstation]# vmware
vmware is installed, but it has not been (correctly) configured
for this system. To (re-)configure it, invoke the following command:
/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl.

I've reconfigured it but it just gives me the same error.

Any ideas?

remove the "notconfigured" file from /etc/vmware/
or something like that. i can't remember the filename exactly.

Re: vmware died - SOLVED

This is strange, I've seen this error with many versions of Linux.  I wonder why the VMWare folks can't do anything about this.

Makes VMWare a bit of a pain.  Just my $.02
