Re: how to install opera

Welcome to Arch.

Install lib32-qt from community. Then grab Opera from one of the 32 bit mirrors and install with Pacman. Hopefully all of the libraries you need will install with lib32-qt. If not, just watch the output from the command line and find out what's missing.

How do you download from a 32-bit mirror?

Brows your mirror of choice /extra/os/i686

A better way is to use opera-devel from AUR. You just need to add 'x86_64' the arch line.

I compile opera-devel in Arch64 success, then exec opera in xterm,
show:
/usr/bin/opera: line 222: /usr/lib/opera/9.21-20070510.6/opera: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/opera: line 222: /usr/lib/opera/9.21-20070510.6/opera: Success

opera don't startup, do I need lib32* ?
