Gnash super slow

im using arch64 on my sempron 2800+ box.

gnash's super slow. When playing single swf file, I can only see 8 bit color.

When I open Firefox with many flash pages, It's nearly not responses me.

BTW, I can see flash movies very smoothly in my chrooted arch32 with opera.

with gnash?

gnashstill still has serious performance issues. but they are working on it. try swfdec-mozilla that works on a usual cpu consumption level.

Re: Gnash super slow

no, opera's not with gnash, but with nsplugins(mozilla plugin, which not ported for 64bit system).

After I compiled libx11, gnash seem better, playing flash8. But still very slow playing flash9.

Re: Gnash super slow

i'v tried   swfdec-mozilla that you've just mentioned, but it makes my firefox crashed.

I decide to give up flash player plugins.

Re: Gnash super slow

I personally hate flash, but still need to use it... and this makes me hate it even more. Now, Gnash seems to be maturing very well and now even plays some YouTube stuff. I predict it'll be more stable in the near future.
