[AUR] disown package

Recently I had to build myself a package of mpich2, which is already available in AUR. I found out that the package is in [unsupported] and it is also flagged as out-of-date. A user already posted an updated PKGBUILD.

I've noticed the "Disown" button on the package listing page.

Now, I'm wondering:
1. would it be possible to disown someone else's package (apparently, it is possible) - if it is, could the "Disown" button also be put on the package page
2. if no to 1, would it be possible to have the option to disown a package if it is marked as out-of-date for... let's say... 2 weeks (or do this automatically)

This was discussed very often in the mailing lists.
Actually, there must be a proper way to at least give this package on a seperate "list", so a TU can orphan the package.

1. only TU can disown packages
2. As STiAT mentionned, there's a feature request to automatically orphan packages that have been out of date for X weeks.

The current way to handle this is to contact the current maintainer by email. If there's no response after, say,  a few days, post on the TUR ML. A TU will orphan it.

mpich2 seems to be stale. If you want it, let me know. I'll orphan it for you.
