DVD tool madness.. which to use..

Hello all.

I have checked some threads about making dvd's from avi files and finally got to the point to try mandvd. I downloaded PKGBUILD of it and dvd-slideshow, had to add lots of dependencies via pacman, but dvd-slideshot seems to want toolame as well and I can't find it in standard or extra repositories.

I wonder if anyone have a build of toolame, or if I can find it in one of the arch/aur. The one I found was only a source and while I try reading up on making my own packages(I'll make it in time..) I'd like to try mandvd before next christmas..

(All I want is to do a simple *.avi -> *.iso -> dvd, or skip the *.iso if possible...)

try devede, it's a gui so I don't know if it's what you're looking for, but it makes its job (of course, it's a frontend to a couple of thinks like dvdauthor and mencoder).

I am trying it to make an ISO file now.
