mkinitcpio advice

i have installed "Duke x86_64" and this is my hard-disk:

Disk /dev/sda: 80.0 GB, 80026361856 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9729 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

as you can see i am using LVM but during installation i did not add "lvm" to HOOKS while building the default kernel fallback image. was i right ?

Uh.. where can we see that you are using LVM? All that I am seeing are normal devices, no LVM-Volumes at all. So, you are NOT using LVM. And therefore you did not need to add LVM to the hooks.

I am pretty sure your mkinitcpio only needs hooks which apply to your root partition so if your root isn't on LVM I don't think you need it.
