get no sound after reboot from window XP ??? help !!!

my arch is always getting no sound after reboot from window XP, i am using compaq laptop v3000 series, and i had added a option in modprobe.conf, that is "options snd-hda-intel model=laptop", everything is unmuted, just getting no sound.

and sometime, after shutdown long time, and boot again into arch, then sound jsut come back and work fine... so what is the problem??? anyone know?

i am using 2.16.21 kernel.
