Community database on archlinux.org

rsync.archlinux.org is feeding me a bad community database file, it is giving me community.tar.gz, not community.db.tar.gz
I have manually fixed it for locke.suu.edu, but it will be broken again when the sync runs in 40 minutes.

There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)

@dolby

Err... aren't those threads about a different problem from ryujin's?

@ryujin

I don't have access to rsync so I can't confirm what you're seeing.
May I suggest that you file a bug?

maybe, but they state that the repo is messy in general.
also i meant to point that a mailing list post would most likely adress the problem much quicker to ppl who can actually help

Re: Community database on archlinux.org

I can confirm this, because all mirrors I'm using suffer from this problem :
Server = http://mir1.archlinuxfr.org/archlinux/community/os/i686
Server = http://mir2.archlinuxfr.org/archlinux/community/os/i686
Server = http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/p … ty/os/i686
Server = http://ftp.rez-gif.supelec.fr/pub/Linux … ty/os/i686

They all have community.tar.gz instead of community.db.tar.gz

community db on ftp.archlinux.org is outdated, but this one still has the correctly named database : community.db.tar.gz

Re: Community database on archlinux.org

it seems to be fixed!  Thanks!

I see from the mailing list that a temporary fix is in place, so re-syncing is clean.
