Hi
Found a problem with Java and Opera.
Opera v7.23 packaged by/Maintainer Contrasutra - latest
Java v1.42 - j2re 1.4.2_04-1 packaged by/Maintainer Jason Chu - latest
Error: dont have permission or cant find opera.policy and same for opera.jar
My Fix (might not be the best way)
-------
Added the lines to opera6.ini ( /home/user/.opera/):
[Java]
Security Policy=/opt/opera/share/opera/java/opera.policy
Opera ClassPath=/opt/opera/share/opera/java/opera.jar
Enabled=1
Then I edited the opera.policy file with policytool in /opt/jre/bin
open the policy file
change codebase line to "file:///opt/opera/share/opera/java//opera.jar"
save
reload opera and load a java app
Note to maintainer: hi, could you please update your package to solve this issue - thanks
to all arch people - keep up the great work!!!!

err...that was my fault. The package build for 7.23 doesn't edit the /opt/opera/share/opera/java/opera.policy file. I have changed that in the 7.50p3 pkgbuild. Sorry.

Thanks for the fix,
would it be possible to fix the current 7.23 package aswell?
also is it possible to change the directory structure? to me it seems to use way too many "opera" subdirectories under /opt/opera.
thanks again

I updated the package and I also added an opera.sh script to /etc/profile.d/ , so now /opt/opera/bin will be in your PATH.
