Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

Is Quanta in kdewebdev yet? It is quite a necessary app for me because at the moment I am developing my website. Also can someone please make a 64bit repo? I recently changed to Xfce a few days ago and I'm starting to miss KDE4 already! Even though it's quite unstable, the bugfix release seems to have fixed a lot of bugs with Konqueror, which was one the most unstable apps.

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

@tardo, Could you share the kdebase4 pkgbuild?

I saw on kde website someone finally commit a correction to plasma.
This correction permit to resize the taskbar and add some options backport to 3.5.8.

Can I build last kdebase4 with your pkgbuild?

Thank you

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

I have uploaded 64 bit packages into my repository - this time they are built using tardo's pkgbuilds.

The repository includes kde4 as well as kde4-extragear. (It also includes firefox3 if anyone is interested).

The repo:

[tanis]
Server = http://jakub.markconstable.com/x86_64

Exact pkgbuilds used are here:
http://jakub.markconstable.com/kde4pkgbuilds.tar.gz

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

@tanis: I think it would be great if you added Amarok2 and KOffice2 like in the i686 repo.
@tardo: Could you provide the PKGBUILDs for Amarok2 and KOffice2?

I tried to build kdebase4 svn but it crash sad

I'll try later... I want to change height of taskbar. I find the default size is really annoying tongue

I checked the kde4 subversion and, it's crazy. There a new revision every 15-20 minutes... lol

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

Today i installed your [tardo] kde4.

What is the correct method for loggin in? (kdm--gdm or xinit?).

It is impossible for me to log in with my regular user (i do NOT have kde3 installed), so i created a new user ; with the new user everything is ok.   Is there a method to login with my regular user?????

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

The best way to start KDE4 is through KDM. Using startkde makes the turn off/restart buttons disappear.

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

You can log with any user you want...
If this is only a test, create a new one and start kde4.

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

upate to the new kdemod. Everything gets improved. But konqueror can't open a link, keep openning a dialog asking whether to save to the disk or open with firefox.

My firefox keep crashing too. Don't know why? I think nothing to do with kdemod

You need to install mime-types

pacman -S mime-types

I had the same problems you described before as well..

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

Just installed 4.0.1 - and removed immediately, you still can't configure taskbar, and kopete can't connect or crashes all the time(with ICQ) sad

By the way - check the screenshot))

Re: [REPO] kde4 4.0/amarok2/koffice2

found kopete is very-very buggy it either cannot connect using icq protocol, or crashes after connecting. I will appreciate it so much if you compile version from trunk) I can't do it by myself, kdesvn-build doesn't work(
