how to start ardour [solved]

i have installed ardour. how do i start the app? running

ardour

in bash doesn't work - it says the bash function can't be found...

i think it's ardour2 now. you might also need jack, not sure.

thanks! ardour2 worked I also notice the new version calls jackd on its own - very convenient. I am wondering though, can anyone help give me some tips as to where to start? i had been using FL studio on Windows now I could use some help learning how to download, install, and use LADSPA plugins on ardour so i can start making music on linux thanks!
