Is there any multimedia player...

I have gnome, so I don't use Amarok (I don't want kde libraries), and I don't like rhythmbox too much. Nowadays I'm using Beep Media Player, but I see it too much simple. Is there any other great multimedia player that can compite against all of them? Don't tell me Mplayer wink

Greetings

Quodlibet? MPD+Sonata or one of the other MPD clients? Banshee?

Re: Is there any multimedia player...

phew, exaile is too unstable hmm I will try banshee and quodlibet, to see if I like them tongue

EDIT: well, banshee isn't translated to spanish :S, and I can see that beep media player is better than quodlibet (for me)

Re: Is there any multimedia player...

Banshee does have a spanish translation.
http://svn.gnome.org/svn/banshee/trunk/banshee/po/es.po
Same file is in the latest release aswell (0.12.1)

Is it just not enabled in the arch binary or something?

It's in there:

/usr/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES/banshee.mo

I wonder why it doesn't work?

EDIT: You should try audacious if you haven't already. It seems to be the most active project from the XMMS (and beep media player) family of code.

Re: Is there any multimedia player...

have you tried :
extra/audacious-player 1.3.2-1
A media player forked from BMP 0.9.7.1 - player component (no plugins).
extra/audacious-plugins 1.3.4-1
Plugins for the audacious media player.
?
