[SOLVED] Rosegarden trouble.

Hello.
Whenever I start Rosegarden, I get the following message:

Failed to connect to JACK audio server.

Rosegarden could not connect to the JACK audio server. This probably means the JACK server is not running.
If you want to be able to play or record audio files or use plugins, you should exit Rosegarden and start the JACK server before running Rosegarden again.

Now, I get that message, even though I did start JACK:

root      6146  0.0  0.1   4760   640 pts/0    S    19:10   0:00 /bin/bash /etc/rc.d/jack-audio-connection-kit start
root      6147  0.2  0.7  29624  3728 ?        Ssl  19:10   0:01 /usr/bin/jackd -s -d alsa -d -d hw:0 -p 1024

This is the console output I get when starting up Rosegarden:

$ rosegarden

Any ideas what to do? I'm new to the whole JACK business, if that gives you any ideas.

Thanks.

Re: [SOLVED] Rosegarden trouble.

Am I the only one experiencing JACK trouble?

Re: [SOLVED] Rosegarden trouble.

JACK needs to be started by the same user as rosegarden. I would advice not to use the jack-audio-connection-kit script but to use qjackctl (available in extra).

regards,
Jochen
