Hi all

Where i may download it?
it is good idea to make 2 dvd with current, extra, community
all i found is linuxcenter.ru edition http://ftp.linuxcenter.ru/iso/ArchLinux-LC-Spring-2007/

who provide that material?

It's not allowed to ship all extra packages on a DVD. Some packages have license issues. Once these will be sort out we might offer official DVDs. Don't expect this very soon.

On second thought, with archboot it wouldn't be that hard to provide a functionality to make it possible to generate an iso with both current & extra. It's only that we won't provide any DVD iso physicly.

Is it possible to do that yourself?
I mean not an boot-cd but just an DVD which you can use as local repo. (should be accessible from the Install-CD though)
Would be good to be prepared for non-Internet times...

A bootable Arch DVD is as easy as that. Just try gradgrinds larch scripts ( vvvv link in my signature )
Haven't been here in a while. Still rocking Arch. ![]()

I have 3200 of arch repository packages.tar.gz on a dual-layer DVD of 7.6GB size which I downloaded from arch repos.
I can install any of these with pacman -U or pacman -A while booted into arch. As SIGI mentioned, they are contained within a Larch DVD dual-layer.
These include many packages I would never use since many are language-related.
Those packages found of interest could be installed and then upgraded as desired by the user, the upgrade requiring an internet connection.
Many of the packages I have no interest in as will be your experience as well. But the local repo is a resoiurce in case of no internet access on one's computer...or even a slow dial-up.
To each his own..................................................:)
Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!
