Digikam Issue

Dear forum user,

after the last pacman upgrade my Digikam application is not starting up any more. The splash screen is showed and when the application finished loading the splash screen just disappears.

I am using the GNOME desktop. But this worked perfectly before the upgrade.

Starting the Digikam application in the terminal I get the following output:

[~]: digikam
kbuildsycoca running...
KCrash: Application 'digikam' crashing...
Could not find 'drkonqi' executable.
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.

A google search on that topic brought no usable result. Is this a bug or a miss-configration? I did not change anything after the upgrade procedure. What is drkonqi? Anyone had similar problems or a solution?

I think there is an option to report this bug via bugs.archlinux.org.

Best regards,
Martin

I've executed "drkonqui", and it seems to be the window that kde shows when there is a crash. So, basically, that drkonqui isn't found is no important. About the really important thing, the crash itself, no idea :-( sorry

Re: Digikam Issue

I've got a problem too since the upgrade to digikam 0.9.3. I think the problem is here :

$ digikam
digikam: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by /opt/kde/lib/libdigikam.so.0)
$ pacman -Ss libstdc++
current/libstdc++5 3.3.6-1

$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 is owned by gcc 4.2.0-2

No problems at all.
