Can't install Skype.

Hello.
So first i was trying to type sudo pacman -S skype ,and it shows ''error: 'skype': not found in sync db''. After that i tried to download skype from skype.com ,but i cant compile any of those packages. Maybe you know what problem i am having?
P.S I installed arch today smile

Now i can install it ,but it wont work. Maybe you upload your pacman.conf file ?
P.S When i am trying to type ''Skype'' in terminal i am geting this ''skype: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

$pacman -S libstdc++5

?

I had a similar problem when I briefly used Arch64 since Skype needs 32-bit libraries. Are you using Arch64? I think the package you'll need will libstdcc++5 as Aris005 suggests. See http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Usi … _on_Arch64 for more information. I believe generally Arch64 isn't really designed with 32-bit emulation in mind, though it can be added. Hope this also helps.


Arch64 and KDE 4.1.3 on an AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-core:
8 Gb RAM, 1 Tb HDD, GeForce 9800 GTX+
