VLC is lagging

Hi.

I have just installed arch (love pacman), and it's running almost like I want it to. The only issue I have by now is when I'm trying to play I video file in vlc it just laggs. I have installed the fglrx module and the videocard works great, but I can't watch a movie without lagging in  VLC. I installed MPlayer to check in that to, and it works fine in MPlayer. But I like vlc bether then MPlayer, so I would love it if someone could help me fix vlc.

change the video-out module to something like *gl*
