anyone got a package made for these older drivers for ati radeon 9200 series....or does the installer actually work with the nes xorg?

I've been looking for the same thing myself. Haven't found it yet. I have a radeon 9000 which got dropped by ati after 8.28.8. The open source drivers don't work for me either. There is a bug (Suse and Fedora forums confirms this) when you try to use them on a dell latitude d600. DRI will be enabled, and glxgears confirms this--however, when you run a game, the graphics will glitch very badly.

I stand corrected. That bug is now fixed, and 3d Acceration works just fine with the open source driver (1050fps /w glxgears).
