Texas Instruments PCI7420/7620 Combo [SOLVED]

For those with 02:04.3 Mass storage controller: Texas Instruments PCI7420/7620 Combo CardBus, 1394a-2000 OHCI and SD/MS-Pro Controller and are unable to get it working here is what I did to fix mine.

I went to http://developer.berlios.de/project/sho … e_id=12267 and downloaded the tifm-0.8e.tar.bz2 to a directory like tifm in my ~/.  tar -jxvf the file and then sudo make && sudo make install. Since I am still new to the Linux world I rebooted the system to reload the modules and next time I inserted my SD card I was able to mount.  Oh and do not forget to put tifm_sd into the modules section of the rc.conf.

Personally, I think the Arch dev team might to add in this beta kernel module since it does make the device work.

Well, version 0.8 will be included in the 2.6.22 kernel, so it isn't really worth our while packaging it separately. If you want to let others avail of your work until the kernel is updated, I'd suggest you write a PKGBUILD for it and put it in the AUR.
