I find the firefox widgets (the buttons, checkboxes etc.) are all very ugly. Is there a way to change them?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly but I think you might want to look at
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:2
I personally quite like Qute
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7
Hope that helps,

I mean the buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons etc. I found one on the Ubuntu Forums, but I'm not sure where to install the widgets to.

Installation
============0. Find the "res" directory under your Firefox installation directory.
1. Append the contents of "forms-extra.css" to Firefox's "forms.css".
2. Copy the directory "form-widgets" to your Firefox res directory.
3. (Re)start Firefox.
Careful at step 1. Backup your forms.css if you want to remove them later.

Just a note, some sites won't look good if you use widgets other than the default.

Huh, you can't upload things to this forum. Anyway grab the widgets on Ubuntu's forum and just change the where the path points to. They look great, I haven't found any sites that don't work with them yet.

I couldn't get the PKGBUILD to work but wooptoo's instructions and link above it was doable. Looking much nicer.
