Beryl wont let any media player play videos

When running beryl no video's will play, I get..

Why isnt this working, lack of video memory?

Beryl fault, I have done  a

$ rm -rf ~/.beryl

And still dosent work, all other window manager work fine.

All help appreciated smile

I believe you will need to change the output method of most video players. I believe you need to try either X11 (no Xv) or gl2 output. I believe in VLC you need to open VLC, go to Video->Output Modules and change to "X11 Video Output".

I'm glad that it worked for you. As for your question, I'm not sure as I do not use GNOME, but there's bound to be a GNOME MIME-type editor somewhere where you can set what program each type uses. Sorry I can't be of more help on that.
