Hey, lately while using firefox, x server will crash. I thought it was only under KDE but it crashes under any desktop.
Don't know how to generate the error messages.
Anyone having these issues?

I've had no problems.
Look at your Xorg log files; they're under /var/log/X11, I think (named Xorg.0.log, Xorg.1.log...). I'd cat them, then grep for EE or WW since all warning/error lines have (WW) or (EE) at the beginning.

you could also start firefox from a terminal and see if it generates any messages...

I have this problem also. My Xorg log files don't show anything to useful though.
Usually after about 15 minutes of surfing it will crash with this message in terminal.
The program 'gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 102 error_code 8 request_code 146 minor_code 3)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
