pidgin stupidity (or am i stupid)-Solved
i updated pidgin to 2.0.2-1 and everything looks fine until u start chatting. During the conversation, can u tell how many types you type "e" and so many times it pops up "new instant message" popup. In conversation menu it shows "e" is the key assigned to "new instant message." Earlier in 2.0.0, it was ctrl+m. Now how do u type "e" the only solution seems to be copying it and then doing ctrl+v instead of typing "e."

I think it has something to do with your personal settings... It's still Ctrl-M for me. Did your settings somehow get corrupt? Try renaming your .purple folder to something else, start pidgin, and see if it's fixed.

u r right. It was because of a fille caled "accels" in .purple folder. deleted that and its ctrl+m now. donny why...
