Potential Pidgin issue

Anyone else having MSN issues lately?  I don't know if this is a problem with Pidgin because this seemed to start when I lasted updated it to 2.0.2.  Anyways, to friends and family it's showing me as being offline when according to my side that's simply not true.  Also when I message someone they're able to respond but unless I message them first they get a message about me being offline.  I've been having this problem since about 9pm last night.  Any ideas?

Yes, stop using broken protocols and/or servers smile

Re: Potential Pidgin issue

I think it's a pidgin problem then, both amsn and emesene seem to be working fine here.

@johnisevil: if all your friends and family are using msn you don't really have a choice... It's not like it's easy to convince some 100 people to switch protocols...

Oh, if it's a pidgin problem only, then change client first smile

I know, it helps that I don't have any friends..
Though, if most of them have a gmail account, it can be easy to switch to jabber.
If they don't, they can get one, it's useful. Or does everyone really prefer hotmail over gmail ?

Here in Belgium they do... I really don't understand it and I hate the way hotmail puts advertisements below every email... I always delete them on replying smile

PS: if you're looking for another client, emesene is really good. It's a pretty young project and there are new features like almost every week in svn, try it out if you like.  (svn url: https://emesene.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/emesene)
