Nevermind. That was a weird problem. I guess I have a bug report to file now. At an airport all my http/ftp requests were forwarded to a webpage. Pacman apprently silently failed when it got the webpage. So, it lost all its db's, but since there were changes in all the other repos besides current, I got my db's back besides current. Those worked. I fixed it by doing a pacman-optimize, which obviously failed on optimizing current which was an html page.
