915resolution not doing its job [solved]

So I've been working on getting my 945gm to have the correct resolution.  I installed 915resolution, stopped X, configured my xorg.conf to have 24bit 1280x800 resolution, ran `915resolution 58 1280 800 24`, and started X.  This does nothing on my computer.  I've included the line

/usr/sbin/915resolution 58 1280 800 24

in /etc/rc.local, but again this does nothing for my resolution.  Does anyone know what I missed or have any suggestions?

BTW, I get no errors when executing 915resolution

Don't know what you're missing, but install the intel drivers and xorg-server 1.3 from testing. They eliminate the need for 915resolution.

I just did that and it works!  Weird how 915 wouldn't work with me, never had it fail with any other distro... oh well, fortunately intel plays nice with linux.
