I'm using Arch64 and really don't want to set up chroot. So If anyone has compiled wine with the two patched that are required for the ET:QW Beta, I'd really appreciate a copy.
Edit:
Never mind, I compiled it on a kubuntu livecd I had ling around, (not optimal but) it seems to work ok. If anyone else is interested you can grab the compiled and patched winex11.drv.so here, then you just need to replace /usr/lib/wine/winex11.drv.so
Edit two:
I've been playing it quite a bit and have to say, it's going to be one awesome game! Best FPS for a long time!!!

what setup you have N30N? I have 2x6800GT's in SLI. Is that enough to run Quake Wars? Does SLI even work in Linux? Looks like a pretty resource taxing game. By the way, you probably already have read but a native Linux version of the game will be out shortly after the Win one.

I've only got one 6800GT oced and I can run 1600x1200 with quite a bit of tweaking. The internal game only runs at 30fps so it's not that hard to get a solid frame rate (and I know 30fps sounds crappy but it's really not as bad as it sounds). I do hope to upgrade my PC before it goes final so I can run with the gfx maxed out.

Yup, have had the game on preorder for so long I just had to try the beta and now I cant stop playing it (It's probably the best FPS I've played since Q3).

Do you have Windows XP? I was wondering if there is, for now, a performance hit if you run it with wine, since the native executable will only be released after the game hits the shelves.

I get more frames in wine but there is a wine bug. If you move your mouse to fast your frame rate drops to 0. So it is currently quite unplayable in wine (sorry for any confusion).

Thanks for the clarification
