Anjuta dependency issue?

Hi All

I installed gnome+anjuta today and I had a problem running "anjuta".  When ran anjuta I received the following error:

kellwood@deadface kellwood $ anjuta: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Looking at the pacman log, I noticed that openssl was recently updated.

deadface lib # grep openssl /var/log/pacman.log
[03/20/04 20:54] upgraded openssl (0.9.6l-1 -> 0.9.7d-1)

I then looked at the online package database and openssl is not listed as a dependency.

Is there an easy way to downgrade to openssl 0.9.6l-1?

Thanks
Kev

Re: Anjuta dependency issue?

rebuild anjunta using abs and then file a bug that explains that openssl is a dependency and that this package must be upgraded when openssl is.

EDIT:
It appears as though this bug has been filed.

Re: Anjuta dependency issue?

Thanks.  I did a bit of reading regarding abs and makepkg and it seems that I can have a lot more fun with arch.

At present, I have two linux boxes with my main box being gentoo and my server in the basement being arch.  I think I am soon going switch both to arch.

Thanks
Kev

There was a new anjuta package posted today but unfortunately still had the same openssl issue.. I just rebuilt using abs and works fine..Hopefully this will get updated there is still an open bg report on it.

Re: Anjuta dependency issue?

Worse than simple libssl is that it is asking me for both

libssl and xinerama !!
