fixed disk/partition in places -> "removable media" - why?

Can anyone tell me why my partitions, mounted manually from fstab is placed within places -> "removable media" with usb drives, cdroms etc? (gnome 2.18)
This is not very intuitive. Just an annoyance, but still...

Oh, and does anyone know how to set the number (preferably a higher offset) where gnome place these drives under that sub menu ("removable media") category?
