I have a weird issue I suppose. If I burn a dvd iso that I have created with mkisofs or some other app that is probably a front end to mkisofs, it won't play on my standalone dvd player it will play on the computer as a dvd and will play on my other computer as a dvd but not on my standalone dvd player. I burn the dvd using
growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/sro=foo.iso
What is even weirder is that using that exact same command with the exact same iso on my other computer which has zenwalk on it, the dvd will play in dvd player. Although the other one using cdrtools and arch uses cdrkit, I have even installed cdrtools on arch and it still fails. Any idea on what the issue could be? The dvd isn't just a coaster, it still plays on my computers, just not on standalone conventional dvd players.

Dunno what the issue is, but I've been having the same problem for a while. Disks I burn on my arch box actually cause some settop players to hardlock. ISOs I created a few months ago burn fine, but newly created ones, even of the same media, do not. All of them play fine on any computer I throw them in - linux, Mac, or windows.
