wireless, vpn?

Hello, I know that there's been a lot of topics on wireless networks but I still have no clue how to connect to my ISP and they are not interested in helping me...
I managed somehow to get up and running my D-link 520+ wireless card with ndiswrapper so now I have that wlan0 interface and I can do that iwconfig wlan0 essid stuff, but what next?
I read so much topics on this forum and all the wiki but I don't really understand what to do next tongue
Keep in mind that I dont have any other means of internet acces on this comp so I'm still using Windows.
So here are some specs of my windows conection if it will help you to help me smile

Device Name WAN Miniport (PPTP)
Device Type   vpn
Server type    TCP/IP
Authentication  MS CHAP V2
Encryption MPPE 128
Compression (none)
PPP multilink framing Off
Address Type: Assigned by DHCP

thanks in advance people!

Re: wireless, vpn?

How do you connect with windows? First open wlan connection, then pptp? Can you open wlan connection in linux? PPTP is quite poor solution but if your isp requires it theres quite thorough guide on gentoo-wiki: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_PPTP_VPN_c … th_mppe%29
