Linux knowns my single HDD is /dev/sda. The four partitions on it, respectively: sda1, sda2, sda3 and sda4 are not called that in GRUB. I see labels like (hd0,0) and (hd0,1) and things like that. To me, that's (x,y)--coordinates on a plane. I have no idea what this means in Linux/GRUB terms. Can someone please tell me what the first and second numbers actually mean?
