[still unsolved]does 'the all-seeying eye' work?

Hi, I wonder if anyone here got the serverbrowser "the all-seeying eye" (www.udpsoft.com/eye I believe was the address) to work?

yes, it works great, it's the best serverbrowser available out there
I used it when I played Enemy Territory

Well could you please explain to me how exactly you got it to work?
Because I couldn't get it to run with wine and cedega... so I am curious how you did it and hopefully it will work for me too then. :>

Re: [still unsolved]does 'the all-seeying eye' work?

That's what I'm getting from Cedega:

0x90052bbc:1: Thread 0003 unix tid=23655 teb=0xb5773000 state=1 process=0x90008090
0x900018f4:1: Event manual=1 signaled=0 name=""
0x90008090:1: Process next=(nil) prev=(nil) handles=(nil)
wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger...
ERROR: wineserver exiting unexpectantly!
~/.cedega/.winex_ver/winex-5.0/bin/winex3: line 369: 23712 Killed                  $SHELL -c "$RUNWINE $FULL_COMMAND_LINE"
wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger...
WARNING: Raw socket creation failed due to insufficient privileges (need root),
but we'll pretend it succeded anyway
wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger...

(btw., I tried it with a lot of versions all the way up to 6.0.2)

And with wine it actually ran pretty good until I added a game. :> I added Quake3 (well I gave ase a fake quake3.exe since it seemed to need one), then I refreshed and it kind of hung at "shutting down". After a couple minutes I regularly quit ase and ever since it won't start up anymore and gives me a "windows emulated error message box" saying: 'Failed to create empty Document'
Clicking on the only available ok button exits the program.
Wine doesn't give me any useful output on that one (all it says is: fixme:midi:OSS_MidiInit Synthesizer supports MIDI in. Not yet supported. and fixme:msg:pack_message msg 14 (WM_ERASEBKGND) not supported yet, I doubt they got something to do with ase quitting).
I can reproduce that behaviour. (Unfortunately I can't not :>)

Re: [still unsolved]does 'the all-seeying eye' work?

Alright, that's getting kind of ridiculous: Enemy Territory works fine, but Quake3, Quake2, QuakeWorld and Quake4 just won't work in ASE. With Q3 though, there's two different szenarios: a) ('show in filter list' checkbox unchecked) nothing happens, quake3 is not shown
b) ('show in fliter list' checked: I'll get a "out of memory" error and ASE refuses to start up again once I quit it after that.
Tried the new wine version, still the same problem. Wtf?
