Automount cd's when inserted

Hi,

I mount a cd a lot in Linux for a game and it is becoming quite annoying. I recall when I used Ubuntu, the cd(s) were automatically mounted with every installation. How would I go about this?

What WM are you using?
I use gnome so it just auto mounts itself, but you need hal and dbus in your DAEMONS line in rc.conf
and make sure you set your user to the optical group.

Or just hal, because the hal script calls in the dbus one as a dependency. smile

For KDE and Gnome, they have their own media handling programs, kioslave and gnome-volume-manager, respectively. Xfce4 has that beta thunar-volman plugin, and for other setups you could use ivman, if you are not a fan of those three. Cheers. smile

I use openbox as my wm. How would I go about setting up ivman? I installed it but it said to configure some files in /etc/ivman. I put hal in my rc.conf under daemons.
