Using a known good 0.7.2 disc to install on a HP nc6400 notebook..
Chose "FTP install" and had it go out and fetch packages. Currently I'm stuck, as in the install is stopped cold at:
"checking package integrity...done."
Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Try it with the new iso. The packages are the same (because you install via ftp) but the installer is improved. Probably it works with the new installer!
now with 80% more sax-appeal!
