I need confirmation on something before I post a bug report.
I was doing some tests with VLC, and I found that I couldn't compile it anymore using the ABS tree on Arch 64. I kept getting an error about not being able to find the file "Handle.pm". The error output showed an extensive search of '/usr/lib/perl5'. The first entries on the list were of '/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8'. I went into '/usr/lib/perl5/' and found that '5.8.8' is missing. "current" is there (symlink problem with Pacman upgrade?), but that wasn't in the search path. I copied the '5.8.8' directory from "site_perl", and VLC compiled properly again. Can anyone else confire that '5.8.8' is not in '/usr/lib/perl5/'?

Same happens here, in x86. I noticed it when urxvt's perl support failed. Go ahead and report it.
EDIT: Check this thread about this problem. Reinstalling perl did the trick. Perhaps there should be released a new perl package to force people to upgrade and fix it?
