Hey gang.
Im trying to use tint as a taskbar for my openbox desktop.
Im running at 1152 x 864 and have tint set to 18 pixels in width.
It looks FINE and amazingly nice until i try to maximize a window.
At that point then the bottom of the window i am maximizing goes UNDER the tint taskbar.
UGLY AS SIN.
Is there a way to set a margine or correct this. Ive noticed some of you use it..
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

What revision from svn are you using? I have never had this happen to me and I'm using r31.
\\ archlinux on a XPS M1530 //

Im using the version i grabbed from svn tonite.. its revision 31 as well.
I went into ~/ttm/src
typed make
typed make install
(as root of course)
Copied the tintrc to ~/.config/tint
Regardless of if i run tint from console or from autostart.sh (it wont work from xinitrc for some reason)
I always get the same problem. Tint loads to the bottom.. works flawlessly until i max a window then the window
goes UNDER the task manager.
I dont get it at all.. im pretty sure ive done everything correctly unless im SUPPOSED to set margins in openbox
but im unable to even understand if that can be done.. im pretty sure it cant.
Zen.

I'm not sure if this will help, though I think it might be worth checking :
http://icculus.org/openbox/2/rc.php#ses … ximization
Maybe you can do something with that, though I do not know if tint is recognized as a taskbar (I think and hope so...)
Or else, I found some patch... though I doubt this one will be really helpful... anyway :

EDIT : As I'm facing the same problem as you, I'm going to check that this afternoon...

# FONT

font = monospace 10
font_color = #ffffff
font_alpha = 50
font_active_color = #ffffff
font_active_alpha = 75
font_shadow = 1
#---------------------------------------------
# TASKS
#---------------------------------------------
task_text_centered = 0
task_width = 100
task_margin = 3
task_padding = 5
#---------------------------------------------
# PANEL
#---------------------------------------------
panel_width = 0
panel_height = 30
panel_tasks_centered = 0
#---------------------------------------------
# PANEL BACKGROUND
#---------------------------------------------
panel_background = 0
panel_background_color = #000000
panel_background_alpha = 25
#---------------------------------------------
# TASK BACKGROUND

task_background = 1
task_background_color = #ffffff
task_background_alpha = 25
task_active_background_color = #ffffff
task_active_background_alpha = 50
task_background_as_border = 0
I hope anyone can find a solution for this

I just posted a patch to make Tint really be always on bottom.
