ekiga cuts off incoming sound after 30 seconds

I've been using ekiga for a while now and it has been ok but recently it has started cutting off the incoming sound after about 30 seconds on the call.

I'm on a Trust USB handset if that makes any difference.

Can anyone suggest what could be wrong?
