When I install xfce or xfce-svn it affects how some of my GTK2 themes are displayed in Gnome. The decor loads fine but the colour scheme reverts to some default blue scheme. However, if I then remove XFCE, they start working fine again. Furthermore, when I try to load gtk2 themes in XFCE they just don't load at all... no error messages, but I used to have some working. Is there any log files I can look at to see what is going wrong?
