I thought to myself "Hm...I'm installing Arch, and would like to use Xfce. Which package should I install?" and did a package search on the homepage, because my laptop's busy with its virgin # pacman -Syu. But the results for Xfce didn't list any main package, so I had to look in the wiki, and thought "Oh yes, xfce4 and xfce4-goodies. But why weren't those in my package search results?" Meta-packages should be included in package search results on this website!
Thanks. You guys do a great job!

Well, to help with your terminology, we call them "groups" and not meta-packages. They're defined by adding a groups=('list' 'of' 'groups') in the individual package files.
Anyway, I suppose, however, it would be handy to have a way to search groups through the web-interface... I wonder who I can bug about that. Hmmmm....

Sorry, and continuing on the theme, I broke my Linux maidenhead with Debian and Ubuntu, so I'm accustomed to that term.

Heh, that's ok, that's why I let you know how they're called around here, so you could be more concise. ![]()

$ pacman -Sg
will show all available groups, BTW.

Thanks for the tip, although I already knew that. :^)
