OK, I found some spyware on my Windows XP partition and wanted to re-install. Well, I wanted to back it up before I blow it away and start over. However, I found information that suggests that partimage does not run correctly in 64-bits, and didn't find a 32-bit package already created. So that's how I ended up creating bin32-partimage and its dependencies.
